Snore Mouthpiece

Snore Mouthpiece Tips

When it comes to selecting a snore mouthpiece there are several very important features that you need to look for to ensure the highest chance of success. Snore mouthpieces that are on the market are not only made from variety materials, but have different designs that have an very definite impact on how well they work.

To start with, snoring devices are usually made from one of three materials: hard acrylic, non-thermoplastic vinyl (which is not moldable), and moldable or thermoplastic polyvinyl. The majority of snoring mouthpieces you can find online are made from thermoplastic moldable polyvinyl. This type of material allows you to mold the device to your teeth and shape of your mouth.

But unfortunately, almost all the mouthpieces made with this material use a design where this material will lock between the teeth when heated and molded. This can put a lot of pressure on the teeth and even make teeth move or shift position after using the mouthpiece for a short period of time.

If the mouthpiece is designed so that the thermoplastic material only forms the walls of the mouthpiece then the devices will not lock between the teeth. But with just the walls of the device being thermoplastic, the mouthpiece will only mold to the outside of the teeth. This still allows for good retention but is a much safer approach as it prevents the risk of making teeth move or becoming loose from too much force between the teeth.

When looking at designs, there is also another important factor to consider. Does the design allow the mouthpiece to be effective no matter what type of bite you have? Most most snoring mouthpieces sold online are a one-size-fits-all device that are designed for a normal overbite. But what if your upper teeth overlap your lower teeth more than normal? What if you have a severe overbite or an underbite? Unless the mouthpiece can be customized for your particular bite it will not only be uncomfortable to wear but also not effective for stopping snoring.

In addition, what about your jaw habits while sleeping. If you tend to grind your teeth in your sleep or if you have a history of TMJ (jaw joint dysfunction), then these one-size-fits-all devices will really be uncomfortable.

If you want the make sure the snore mouthpiece you select has the best possible design that incorporates all of these important features, watch the video below.

Success Stories

"The Ultimate Stop Snoring Solution is so much more comfortable than the other mouthpiece I first tried. These devices fit without putting any pressure on my teeth. Also, they are definitely easier to keep in during the entire night. I used to wake up in the middle of the night but now I can sleep throughout the night and feel much more refreshed in the morning."

"Before I ordered the Ultimate Stop Snoring Solution I bought one of those one-size-fits-all anti-snoring mouthpieces online and it didn’t help much. But with the mouthpieces I got from you, I was able to completely eliminate my snoring by gradually moving my jaw forward to find the right position. After trying 2 of the 3 mouthpieces you sent me, I had a completely quiet night (according to my wife) and find it a lot more comfortable than the previous brand I tried. Thanks so much!"
